In the past few months I’ve been reading a lot of wealth consciousness books (you can see some of my faves here) and I’ve really been focussing on manifesting money.
What I’ve learnt is, it’s not enough to tell the universe what you want and sit back and wait for it to fall into your lap.
As Mike Dooley, author of Leveraging The Universe, says: “Play both ends to the middle.”
What he means is, try things like visualising, repeating mantras and acting as if you already have the money, but also try conventional ways to make money, by taking positive action.
Yes, if you want to manifest money, you need to take action. So if there’s something you desire that costs a certain amount of money, think about what you can do to get that exact amount of money.
I’m talking about if there’s a course you’d love to do, a coach you’re desperate to work with, or a conference you really want to go to but you don’t have the money for. Or maybe it’s a VA you want to hire, or a fancy CRM system you want to invest in, or a new MacBook.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be work-related. Maybe there’s a holiday you’ve been dreaming about, a new car, a new house. Whatever your desires are, there are ways to manifest the money.
Because when it comes to your desires, instead of saying “I can’t afford it”, you need to start saying “HOW can I afford this?”
It’s all about re-framing it in your mind.
So, here are some tips for manifesting money when you really want something.
1. Think about your desires
Write down what you desire the money for. Think about these things, focus on them and visualise yourself having them.
2. Make it non-negotiable
Decide what you want to achieve, and know that it’s a non-negotiable.
3. Be grateful for the money
Show gratitude for the money, before you have it. Trust that it’s on its way to you and show the universe your unwavering faith, by being grateful . You may want to write a message on a post-it note that states how grateful you are – this is something I’ve done, and mention the exact monetary figure you’re grateful for.
4. Repeat money mantras
Create some money mantras – there are some examples here. Write them on post-it notes around your house, set them as reminders on your phone, repeat them daily.
5. Make a plan
Make a plan of what you need to do to move things in the right direction to make the money you desire. E.g. writing sales emails, creating an offer, getting in touch with friends and family, etc.
6. Look at your resources
Look at the resources that are already available to you. If you have a desire in your heart, then the universe will provide resources to fulfil that desire.
7. Keep the faith
Trust that the money is on its way to you. Try some positive affirmations like “I trust that more money is on its way to me”.
8. Take action
One of the most important parts of the whole process. You need to take action by taking practical steps. Instead of saying “I can’t afford that”, start saying “How can I afford that?”
Ok, so what are some of the practical steps you can take to manifest money?
Sell some packages – If you’re in a service-based industry, do a push on some big-ticket packages to get extra money coming in. Depending on how much your packages cost you may only need to sell a couple. E.g. if you need £5000, sell five £1000 packages, or two £2500 packages, etc.
Create a no-brainer offer – put a no-brainer offer together that you can put out to your list. E.g. a flash sale on an online course, or a reduced rate on a one-off ‘power hour’ with you, or a one-off one-day intensive.
Get in touch with ex-clients – get in touch with some warm leads, people who know and trust you already, and see if you can sell them anything
Ask friends and family to help – if it’s your desire to travel to a particular conference for example, ask friends and family in the area if any of them can put you up, so that you’re saving money on accommodation and can focus on paying for the conference. Make the most of the contacts you have!
Borrow money – sometimes we all need an extra helping hand. If you need money to invest in a programme so that you can grow your business and ultimately make more money, then why not consider borrowing the money, as you know you’ll be able to pay it back when the course pays off
Increase your credit limit – look at what’s already available to you. If you’re struggling to find money but already have a credit card, maybe increasing the credit limit will give you that extra amount you need to do the things you want to do
Take out an interest-free credit card – again, if you’re investing in your business, then you can be pretty sure you’ll make the money back, so look for a card with a long interest-free period
Sell personal items – in the past I’ve made money by selling things online. I’ve sold old university text books on Amazon and I’ve sold clothes, accessories, and electrical items like hair straighteners on ebay
Do some extra work – can you do something like babysitting, dog-walking, cat-sitting, making cakes, etc to make some extra cash?
